For the last year and a half, I’ve been hearing For the last year and a half, I’ve been hearing issues related to the Covid19 pandemic and putting things down on paper about some of the issues, mental health challenges and ideas for supporting oneself and clients. This is what I ended up putting together. The outcomes on mental health following the lockdowns are still present in my counselling room. Some people continue talking about lockdowns, schooling issues, peer problems, parents with children’s development and issues with business and career changes. I hope this can be helpful for some of you. It will be available via online bookshops and to download from the harnessingwellness.com website in the next month. #covid_19 #resourcebook #psychologist

As much as I would like to think that horses are safe they do rely on their own natural instincts to stay safe. I work with my horses regularly on the ground, have a horse trainer to keep up with their handling and learning and development. If you offer equine assisted therapy in Australia then this is an important document for you. Not all horses are suitable to work in equine assisted therapy and it’s the practitioners responsibility to make sure and assess or get their horses assessed. Horse Safety Australia is another great organisation with lots of resources. https://www.horsesafetyaustralia.com.au/. It’s coming up to my annual horse audit for suitability there as there has been a change in my herd. I will be talking more about this as I get ready to audit my herd. #equineassistedtherapy #safetyfirst
