Harnessing Wellness Equine Assisted Therapy was established in 2010 by Naomi Rossthorn, offering equine assisted therapy and counselling. Harnessing Wellness Pty Ltd Psychology and Counselling was established in 2017 to support traditional room based psychological counselling. We opened our second office in Mount Evelyn in early 2020 and are looking to further expand the practice. We are a passionate team with a strong culture of collegiality. We enjoy working in semi-rural and rural communities, with a focus on supporting recovery from trauma, workplace challenges and natural disasters.
We are passionate about finding people who fit within our team-culture and our selection process is mostly based on choosing someone who will enjoy working within our team. We want you to feel a valued team member, so at the end of the day you enjoy coming to work, feeling engaged, happy and supported.
Do you enjoy or have an interest in semi- rural or rural mental health? Do you want more autonomy in your role, but still receive the support of a small but great clinical team? Would you like to focus your practice in an area of your specific interest? Are you willing to be challenged with a variety of referrals? Are you interested in flexible hours? Do you love horses and animals in general and have an interest in learning about Equine Assisted Psychology?
You will be a perfect fit with our team if you are someone who:
- Is passionate about excellent psychological and clinical practice;
- Believes in ongoing professional learning and development.
- Flourishes working autonomously;
- Enjoys working in a semi-rural/ rural community;
- Takes ownership of your responsibilities, your time management, and your work;
- Has a can do attitude and growth mindset;
- Can work outdoors, get muddy and not care.
